Pareto chart

A bar chart sorted in descending order, with a cumulative percentage line overlaid on top. Named after the Pareto principle ("80% of effects come from 20% of causes"), Pareto charts are common in quality control and operations. The chart highlights which few categories account for most of the total, which guides where to focus improvement efforts.
