Ordinal data

Categorical data with a meaningful order, but no fixed distance between categories. "Small / Medium / Large", "Strongly disagree → Strongly agree", "Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced". When charting ordinal data, keep the bars in the natural order — sorting by frequency would destroy the information the order is carrying.
